K R Á T K É    P O J E D N Á N Í    O     J E D N O M     O B R A Z U

Nemám rád floskuli „umění je od slova umět“, chápu ji tak, že jde především o formu. Mne ale zajímá především autenticita a obsah. Budu mluvit o jednom obrazu Miroslavy Ptáčkové. Je pojmenován „Reflection“ a je ze série nazvané „Transformation“. Jsou to dvě tabule nalepené jedna na druhé. Zrcadlo a leptané sklo. Obojí je pojednáváno z obou stran. Na zrcadlo i na sklo je aplikovaná černá syntetická barva. Obojí tabule proškrabává. Zraňuje. Zůstávají jizvy krásy. Horizontálně, vertikálně, diagonálně. Dominantní je diagonála určená černou barvou ve formátu 60x80 cm. Tedy je vymezená i omezená horizontálou i vertikálou. Zrcadlo a zrcadlení je silný fenomén. Brána pro vstup Alenky do říše za zrcadlem. Nebo v zrcadle vodní hladiny pohlížející na sebe se zalíbením Narcis... Jinak běžně zrcadlení slouží našemu kritickému zhodnocení momentálního vzhledu.

Tu vlastnost zrcadlení Miroslava minimalizuje proškrabáváním až na úzké linky odrážející pohled diváka. K takto poznamenanému zrcadlu je připevněno leptané sklo stejného formátu. Taktéž je toto sklo proškrabáváno. Je jen málo průhledné a položením na zrcadlo se chová jako lazurní malba starých mistrů. I když pro pořádek by se mělo mluvit o geometrii od ruky. Označení obrazu jako abstraktní by bylo podle mne mylné, protože obraz skýtá mnoho možností interpretace. A opravdu je v tom něco staromistrovského. Právě teď existuje fenomén označovaný jako „New Old Masters“. Je to malba, která užívá receptury mistrů renesance a baroka. Obsahově jsou figurativní a mají stejnou chuť a ovzduší dávných malířů. Zmiňuji tento jev proto, že Mirčin lazurně provedený obraz má v sobě něco z tohoto klimatu. Její obraz můžeme, ale nemusíme považovat za staromistrovskou evokaci, přičemž obraz je moderní. Současný, jak se říká, protože vzniká nyní. Je netendenční, a přitom určitě obstojí v celosvětové konkurenci. Je to krásná skleněná věc stvořená alchymistkou, která se blíží k tomu, co je právě ve vzduchu. Obraz má reálný prostor i prostor iluzivní. Tvoří tabuli, neobyčejnou podívanou.

Po moderně, postmoderně, radikální obhajobě zvláštního, žijeme v čase svobody, protože není dominantní žádný trend, vyčnívá jen to výjimečné. A to je i případ Miroslavy Ptáčkové.

REFLECTION

​

Prvotní hledání, pozorování a vnímání vnějšího okolí. Snaha o zachycení vlastností ušlechtilého materiálu.
Odraz. Lesk. Mat. Průsvitnost. Vrstvení. Odolnost. Křehkost. Úsilí vede k hledání různých možností výrazu a v nekonečném prostoru se začíná lehce vymezovat směr. Postranní okno unikající všedním pohledům. Letmé paprsky světla jsou rozptýleny pod starými
skleněnými tabulemi. Má snad zůstat prostor skrytý? Zvědavost nutí k přiblížení se. Narušená struktura přetváří původní pohled. V nejasném rozostřeném obrazu se upíná pohled k jedinému místu. Zlomu. Prostor se proměňuje. Zdání klame. To, co bylo blízké a zřejmé, se vzdaluje. Zbarvení Se prolíná. Jemné nuance ukrývají hloubku, vtahují. Vše má svůj řád. Rovnováhu. Vyváženost.
Skladbou několika vrstev se mění intenzita. Nepatrný důraz. Tahy získávají svůj rytmus, ustáluje se směr. Vedle škály šedých a černých odstínů se objevují i jemné odlesky. Mizí prázdná nejasná místa. Vynořuje se vědomé i nevědomé, prostor se uvolňuje.

A SHORT TREATISE ON A PAINTING
BY MIROSLAVA PTÁČKOVÁ

I do not like the empty phrase describing artists as “those who are able to”; the way I read it is that art is
mainly about form. But I am primarily interested in authenticity and content. I will talk about a painting
by Miroslava Ptáčková. It is titled “Reflection” and it is part of a series called “Transformation”. It
consists of two glass panes glued on top of each other. A mirror and etched glass. Both are treated on
both sides. The author applies black synthetic paint to both the mirror and the glass. She scratches both
panes. She hurts them. Scars of beauty remain. Horizontal, vertical, diagonal. The dominant diagonal is
determined by black paint in a format of 60 by 80 centimetres. It is therefore both defined and limited
by the horizontal and the vertical. Mirrors and mirroring are powerful phenomena. A door for Alice’s
entry into the realm behind the mirror. Or Narcissus, looking at himself with fondness in the mirror
of a water surface... Otherwise, mirroring normally serves our critical evaluation of our momentary
appearance.
Miroslava minimizes this feature of mirroring by scratching through to narrow lines reflecting the
viewer’s gaze. An etched glass of the same format is attached to the scratched mirror. This glass is
also scratched. It is only slightly transparent and, when placed on the mirror, behaves like the glaze
paintings of the Old Masters. Although, for the sake of clarity, we should talk about freehand geometry.
In my opinion, it would be incorrect to label the painting as abstract, as it offers many possibilities of
interpretation. And there really is something about it reminding us of the Old Masters. Nowadays,
there is a phenomenon called “New Old Masters”. It describes a method of painting using the recipes
of the Renaissance and Baroque masters. They are figurative in content and have the same flavour and
air of the ancient painters. I mention this phenomenon because Mirka’s glazed painting shows some
of these characteristics. Her painting, being modern, may or may not be considered an evocation of
the Old Masters. Contemporary, as they say, because it is being made now. It is not tendentious, yet
it certainly stands up to global competition. It is a beautiful glass thing created by an alchemist that
approaches what is currently in the air. The painting has both a real space and an illusory space. It forms
a tableau, an extraordinary spectacle.
After the modern, the postmodern, the radical advocacy of the strange, we live in a time of freedom
because no trend is dominant, only the exceptional ones stand out. And this is also the case of
Miroslava Ptáčková.

REFLECTION

Initial search, observation and perception of the external environment. An attempt to capture the
properties of a noble material. Reflection. Gloss. Mat. Translucency. Layering. Resistance. Brittleness.
The effort leads to a search for different possibilities of expression, and in an infinite space, a direction
gently becomes visible.

A lateral window escaping the everyday views. Fleeting rays of light are scattered under old glass
panes. Should the space remain hidden? Curiosity compels one to come closer. The disturbed
structure transforms the original view. In a blurry, out-of-focus image, the eye is drawn to a single
spot. A fracture. Space is transformed. Appearances deceive. What was near and obvious recedes.
Colours blend. Subtle nuances hide depth, draw you in. Everything has its order. Stability. Balance.
The combination of several layers changes the intensity. A slight emphasis. Strokes gain rhythm, the
direction becomes steady. Alongside a range of greys and blacks, subtle reflections appear. Blank,
indistinct spots disappear. The conscious and the unconscious emerge, space is becoming open for
interpretation.
